At Family Wellness Center (FWC), Inc, volunteers are welcomed as a significant part of the mental health team, working with staff to provide quality mental health services. Below is information on volunteering at The Family Wellness Center, Inc. Volunteers at The Family Wellness Center, Inc provide a vital service for consumers, and families. We are proud of our volunteers and the contributions they make in helping us provide quality care to our consumers. We welcome individuals with a variety of skill sets and abilities to join our team as volunteers. In addition to learning, growing and meeting new friends, volunteers at The Family Wellness Center, Inc help make a real difference in the lives of our consumers and their families. The program offers volunteers the opportunity to assist and support the FWCs’ personnel. The opportunities to make a difference are numerous. Volunteers can assist in many areas of the FWC including reception, greeting, clerical, and other administrative support. Join a caring team of volunteers and allow yourself the opportunity to share your special talents and skills where they will be appreciated by our staff and consumers every day! All FWC volunteers are carefully screened, trained, given appropriate assignments and required to follow FWC policies and procedures. The screening process for all volunteers includes a Metropolitan Police clearance, criminal background check, child protection registry clearance, health and drug screenings, an interview and orientation.
